The rat race to make phones with bigger touch screens is ongoing, especially with LG's latest announcement, the LG Optimus Vu. The Android smartphone is said to come with a 5-inch IPS panel, one that is smaller than the Samsung Galaxy Note which boasts of a 5.3-inch touch screen. With more phones spotting bigger screens, we might see other manufacturers come up with phones that sport larger displays than the definitive 4.3-inch size. With regards to the operating system, there's no concrete news so as to whether the LG phone will get the Ice Cream Sandwich treatment. Nonetheless, we must add that at this stage, Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich should have been available out-of-the-box, or at least be pushed onto the Optimus Vu shortly after its launch.
