LG G6 to be available on 10 Mar; Samsung Galaxy S8 on 21 Apr?
Korean news publication ETNews has learnt from its source that LG and Samsung have decided on the retail availability of their respective flagship smartphones.
The LG G6 will hit retail shelves on 10 March as previously reported with pre-sales taking place from 2 March to 9 March. This will be the first time that LG will sell its flagship smartphone earlier than Samsung.
For the Galaxy S8, Samsung has firmed up plans to launch the phone globally and domestically on the same day - 21 April. Earlier reports have suggested availability dates such as 18 April or mid April, but Samsung wanted to play safe by having enough stocks for launch. It is said to have prepared 10 million units for the launch. The pre-sales schedule for the Galaxy S8 is not firmed up yet as Samsung wants to see the initial market response towards the LG G6.
