LG G Watch R will go on sale this weekend

First seen just a few months ago at IFA 2014, the LG G Watch R is the one of the latest Android Wear smart watches to hit the market. It will be available locally from this weekend onwards, from November 15 to be exact, and will retail for S$398 at all telcos and leading retailers.

Although it is not the first Android Wear device to sport a circular display like a more traditional watch, LG claims that it is the first watch-style wearable device to sport a circular Plastic OLED (P-OLED) display. Its display has a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels and when we handled it at IFA 2014, we found the display to be sharp, and colors to be punchy and vibrant.

In terms of features, the G Watch R also has an integrated heart rate sensor, which fitness enthusiasts would definitely welcome. What they might want to change, however, is the default leather strap, which is not ideal for sports. The watch features standard 22mm lugs, so any 22mm strap would fit.
