Yesterday, we brought you a brief roundup of LG's 2013 Smart TV portfolio the company plans to showcase at CES next week. Apparently, the South Korean firm isn't just stopping there.

Having earned the CarbonFree certification recently for six of their products, including the Optimus G smartphone, OLED TV, refrigerator, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, and computer monitor, LG plans to show-off their first CarbonFree-certified OLED TV as well as a variety of new games primed for their Cinema 3D Smart TVs during the upcoming tradeshow in Vegas.

Although the company was relatively upfront about their 2013 television suite, little has been given away regarding the specifications of their eco-friendly OLED display. But what we do know is that the HDTV has been "subjected to a comprehensive lifecycle analysis test in order to determine its carbon footprint, covering its manufacturing process, shipment, usage and final disposal to assess its total effect on the environment", according to HDTVtest's report. On a related note, LG also announced they are taking pre-orders for their 55-inch EM9700 OLED TVs in South Korea, with shipments expected to arrive sometime in February. The EM9700 is expected to cost just over US$10,000 (£6,300).

New Smart TV games to be showcased at CES include Disney's Where's My Water, Sims FreePlay, and Mini Motor Racing. Sims FreePlay is the latest mobile title from the popular "The Sims" series, which has sold more than 150 million copies worldwide to date. In addition, the games will also make exploit LG's innovative point-and-click Magic Remote, although users may also use their smartphone or tablet as a controller with a relevant app.
