In May last year, LG announced the beta availability of LG Cloud, a cloud storage service that provides streaming access of the user’s digital content to various electronic devices, be it PCs, smartphones, or TVs. But the service is available only in the U.S., South Korea, and Russia.

However, during the company’s 2013 Cinema 3D Smart TV launch just a few weeks ago, we were told that the service will be coming to Singapore soon. Well, the day has come, as LG has officially informed us that LG Cloud is now available in Singapore.

So what do you get with LG Cloud? In short, this free service gives you 5GB of cloud storage. With an LG Cloud app that you can download from the Google Play store (for Android devices) or the LG Smart World store (for LG Cinema 3D Smart TVs), you can stream the stored content directly to the devices. There’s also a PC client; not only can you stream photos and videos to the PC, you can upload to the LG Cloud through this client. To cater to the myriad of devices, the multimedia contents are automatically optimized for each device’s screen size and performance. And with resume play, if you pause a video or music track on a smartphone, LG Cloud will continue when you left off when you resume playback on an LG Smart TV. Of course, LG Cloud can also be used for storing documents.

So if you've an LG Smart TV (with NetCast 2.0 or greater) and take a lot of pictures and videos with your Android (version 2.2 and above) smartphone, and are looking for an easy way to access them between devices, it's worth checking out LG Cloud.
