LG Announces Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Roll Out

LG Announces Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Roll Out

With major phone manufacturers like Samsung and HTC rolling out their Jelly Bean updates to flagship devices soon, LG hasn't quite caught up the race... well, until now. The Korean company has issued a press release today, shedding some light on when to expect Android 4.1 on their devices - word is that they would begin rolling out these updates as early as November.

9to5Google - "The LG Optimus LTE II will be the first to receive the update in November followed by the Optimus G in December. Other devices confirmed in the release include the Optimus Vu and Vu II. They will both receive updates sometime in Q1 2013."

This piece of good news comes hot on the heels of the LG Optimus Nexus phone and its camera capabilities - if the company keeps up the good work, 2013 might be the year for LG to break through in the Android landscape.
