Back in January during CES 2012, Lenovo unveiled the IdeaTab S2, a dual-core, 10.1-inch Android 4.0 tablet with a keyboard dock that looks to have its sights set squarely on the ASUS Transformer Prime. To further strengthen its lineup, the Chinese personal electronics giant has announced the mid-range IdeaTab S2109.

No details on pricing or availability have been released yet, but Lenovo's new YouTube video of the forthcoming device details its specifications: a 9.7-inch, 1024x768 IPS LCD display, 8.9mm thin unibody form factor in a gun-metal finish, microHDMI and microUSB ports, a microSD card slot, four SRS-certified speakers and a claimed 10-hour battery life.

The video does not mention what CPU will be powering the tablet, but reports say that it will be an OMAP processor from Texas Instruments and 1GB of RAM.
