Lenovo Expands Ultraportable IdeaPad Product Line at IFA 2012

Lenovo has introduced new affordable, thin and light S Series laptops with the IdeaPad S300, S400, and S405 laptops.

S300

Encased in a stylish metallic finish in colors including Crimson Red, Silver Grey, and Cotton-candy Pink, the 14-inch S Series come powered by either the Intel Ivy Bridge or AMD A-Series processors. Measuring just 21.9mm thin and weighing 1.8kg, they aim to offer consumers an inexpensive PC with quality construction and solid performance.

S400

The Lenovo IdeaPad S300 and S400 laptops are equipped with Intel Ivy Bridge i3 or i5 processors, while the IdeaPad S405 is packed with up to AMD A8 quad-core processors. Running on Windows 7 Home Professional (eligible for Windows 8 upgrade program), these laptops come with intelligent energy management features that protects the long-term durability of the battery. Designed for Windows 8, the updated S Series' intelligent touchpad allows users a more controlled experience when scrolling and zooming, while the AccuType keyboard with individual rounded keys provides a platform for comfortable and accurate typing.

S405

Featuring Lenovo Quick Start "instant on" functionality to get online within seconds, the laptops are preloaded with Lenovo's OneKey Rescue System, which offers a simple and efficient way to back up and restore data, recover corrupted system files, and run a complete virus scan.

The Lenovo IdeaPad S300, S400, and S405 are available at US$499.
