The card comes with a closed-cycle liquid cooling system, featuring a large cooling block that is connected to the radiator via two tubes running to the card. This keeps the pair of Hawaii XT GPU cores cool. It is the same Hawaii XT GPU that powers the AMD Radeon R9 290 series. According to the leaked specifications, the card has 8GB of video memory shared equally between the two cores over a 512-bit memory interface.

According to Fudzilla, the GPU cores are connected by PLX PEX8747 PCIe bridge chip. The card will be powered by two 8-pin Molex connectors, and has a SRP of US$1,499. This card may be seen as AMD’s answer to the recently announced NVIDIA Titan Z. The AMD Radeon R9 295X2 will be officially launched next week on 08 April.
