Leaked details of the new Fujifilm X-Pro2 found on Amazon China

Was the leak on purpose or a true blunder? Doesn't matter now, when official launch and announcement is just days away.

The official launch and announcement of the FujiFilm X-Pro2 is just a couple of days away (15 January 2016), but it looks like the Fujifilm retailer on Amazon China got a little ahead of themselves. Currently, the sales site has the X-Pro2, XF100-400, X70, X-E2s, and the wide angle converter for the X70 listed for sale, complete with pricing and some details.

According to camera rumor sites fujirumors and mirrorlessrumors, the FujiFilm X-Pro 2 will be retailing at CNY 12,999 (S$2,845), and it will come with a “Flagship rangefinder, retro appearance, 24.3 million pixels, no low-pass filter, Wi-Fi control, dust-splash, optical hybrid viewfinder”, which we assume are the specifications for the camera.

Here’s the rest of the pricing and the Google-translated specification details pulled from Amazon China, before the site unlisted the products from their search bar:

Fujifilm X70 is going at CNY 5,399 (S$1182), and it comes with “Professional flagship card, APS-C COMS, Large aperture + super wide angle, self-flipping touch, Wi-Fi control, street beat artifact, film color”.

The Fujifilm WCL-X70 wide angle converter for X70 going at CNY 2,499 (S$547), and the VF-X21 Original Fuji Fujifilm external optical viewfinder retails at CNY 2,199 (S$481).

Fujifilm X-E2s will be sold at CNY 5,699 (S$ 1,247), with “Retro rangefinder design, Travel Portable, No low-pass filter, Electronic viewfinder, Wi-Fi Share, Film color”.

Fujifilm XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens will go for CNY 12,999 (S$2,844), and it has “21 elements 14 groups (includes 5 extra low dispersion elements and 1 super extra low dispersion element), 5-Stop Image Stabilization System, water and dust resistant and can operate in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celcius, and removable tripod mount”. This lens seems a little pricey for something with f/5.6 at 400mm.
