The iPhone leak season is officially here as more leaks spring up each day with the latest one giving us a glimpse of its thickness.

According to sketches by case maker ITSKINS, Apple's new iPhone models will be slightly thicker than the current iPhone 6 models. The iPhone 6S is stated to be 0.1mm thicker than the 6.9mm iPhone 6, and the iPhone 6S Plus will be 0.03mm thicker than the 7.1mm iPhone 6 Plus. What could contribute to the slight increase in thickness?

GSMArena speculates that the thickness can be attributed to the integration of Force Touch in the displays of the new iPhones which corroborates with reports released by UDN and KGI Securities. Since Apple has implemented Force Touch on the Apple Watch, the MacBook and the MacBook Pro, it is not surprising to see it being featured on the new iPhones.

Apple is alleged to be launching the new iPhones on 8th September. Other rumored specs include a new 12-megapixel rear camera, 2GB RAM, a sturdier chassis made of Series 7000 aluminum and A9 processor.
