Jaybird’s new X3 headphones fit better than before
If you like exercising to music, you’ll probably appreciate how important it is for your earphones to stay in your ear while you work out. After all, what’s the point of having music if you literally have to pick it up each time you swing your head?
The X3s have been specifically redesigned with fit in mind. Jaybird has redesigned the X3 to be smaller than the X2, allowing them to even be worn under a helmet. As with the X2s, the X3s have been designed to be worn in either the under-ear or over-ear position, so you can keep the cord completely off the back of your neck if you so choose.
Redesigned enhanced-comfort ear fins are smaller than before, and there’s a great selection of ear tips of various that comes in the box (including Comply’s Isolation premium foam) so you can easily get just the right fit.
In terms of audio, the enhanced 6mm drivers are fully customizable via the Jaybird MySound app, allowing you to adjust the EQ settings on a hardware level instead of just via software on your device. This means that the tuning will remain the same no matter what device you switch it to.
The X3s also sport a redesigned Bluetooth antenna that uses Bluetooth 4.1 for a more stable connection which simply means you won’t suffer drop outs from your music. Using Bluetooth 4.1 also means the you can now simultaneously pair your X3s to a single device, or pair two sets of X3s to the same device so you and a friend can both rock out together.
The internal battery has also been improved to give you eight hours on a single charge, so your headphones take you longer and further than before. The Jaybird X3 Wireless Sport Headphones are available in a choice of two colorways: Blackout (Black and Silver) and Sparta (White and Gold) at retail price of S$215.
Pre-orders start from 27th April, 2017 in Singapore at all major retailers, and stocks will be on shelves by 4th May 2017. The MySound app is available for free on the Apple App store and the Google Play store.
