The iPhone 8 will cost a bomb based on analyst's price estimates
Goldman Sachs analyst Simona Jankowski is among the first to share price estimates for the upcoming iPhone 8.
In a research note to investors, Jankowski expects the iPhone 8 to be priced at US$999 (128GB) and US$1,099 (256GB). This means that you are looking at a retail price of at least S$1,400 for the iPhone 8. In comparison, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus start from S$1,048 and S$1,248 respectively. Jankowski also reiterates that the iPhone 8 will come with a 5.8-inch OLED display, 3D sensors and augmented reality technologies.
Fast Company shared in February that the iPhone 8 could cost at least US$1,000. Apple is rumored to be launching three iPhone models this year and they are said to hit retail shelves in October.
