KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is one of the most accurate tipsters in the industry, shares his latest report on the upcoming iPhone 8.

In his latest report, Kuo believes the iPhone 8 would have the highest screen-to-body ratio of any phone in the industry due to the use of a virtual home button and the addition of a "notch" at the top of the display. The "notch" refers to the lip at the top of the display which will house the front cameras and earpiece.

Kuo also revealed that the iPhone 8 will not come with Touch ID fingerprint sensor of any kind. There will be no on-screen fingerprint scanner or a rear fingerprint sensor. What this means is that Apple might have opted for facial recognition on the iPhone 8. He claims that the full-screen design does not work with current capacitive fingerprint recognition and the scan-through ability of the under-display fingerprint sensor is still facing technical issues.

To maintain the exclusivity of the iPhone 8, Kuo expects Apple to release the model in fewer colors than the normal iPhone lineup. All three iPhone models will come in 64GB and 256GB storage options. While all three iPhone models are likely to be announced in September, Kuo said that the iPhone 8 might launch at a later date and supplies to be constrained into 2018.
