iPhone 5 Coming to International Markets in First Week of October?
Information provided by iMore's sources points to a more aggressive release schedule for the next generation iPhone this year.
According to iMore, reliable sources claim that iPhone pre-orders are expected to begin on the day of its launch, which is 12th September. While it will hit retail shelves on 21st September, iMore also learned that the second wave of iPhone launches will begin in the first week of October for international markets. The date is likely to be 5th October.
When Apple unveiled the iPhone 4S on 4th October last year, pre-orders were only available three days later. The first markets received the iPhone 4S ten days later on 14th October, followed by a second round of releases on 28th October.
The accelerated release schedule seems to suggest that Apple is not resting on its laurels despite the success of its iPhones. The Cupertino company will face fierce competition from Samsung, which is expected to introduce the next Galaxy Note on 29th August. HTC is also rumored to be launching a 5-inch device with 1080p display in September or October.
