iPhone 12 pre-orders said to be better than iPhone 11, Pro models in demand

Pre-orders for the Apple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro seem to be going well according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
According to Kuo's estimates, pre-orders for the iPhone 12 are more than twice that of the iPhone 11 last year. iPhone 12 pre-orders are said to be between 1.7 to 2 million units within the first 24 hours, while iPhone 11 pre-orders had about 500,000 to 800,000 units in the same period last year.
Kuo also said that demand for the iPhone 12 Pro is higher than expected. While he still believes the iPhone 12 will be the most popular model in the long run, preliminary data suggests the demand is split equally among the two models. When all four models are available in retail stores, Kuo expects the following splits:
- iPhone 12 mini: 10 - 15%
- iPhone 12: 30 - 35%
- iPhone 12 Pro: 30 - 35%
- iPhone 12 Pro Max: 15 - 20%
