iOS 4.3 Beta Released to Developers, Includes Mobile Hotspot Support

Apple isn't one to sit on its laurels when it comes to updates. Just a few hours ago, an iOS 4.3 beta was made available to developers via the iOS Dev Center. This new update includes various features, one of which is mobile hotspot support that lets you create a Wi-Fi access point with your iPhone or iPad.

Macstories - It looks like iOS 4.3 has some cool new gestures built specifically for the iPad. 4 & 5 finger gestures; pinch to the home screen, swipe up to reveal multitasking tray, swipe left/right to switch apps. Other new features in this first beta of iOS 4.3 include a comeback of AirPlay streaming for video in 3rd party apps (opt-in for developers through API), Personal Hotspot as previously reported, iAd fullscreen banners.

Other interesting features that were spotted includes the return of the hardware rotation lock in iOS 4.3 for iPad, proving that Apple does listen to its consumers when they bemoan the loss of this feature. Unfortunately, this new iOS 4.3 update won't be available for the earlier iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2nd gen devices. Learn more about the iOS 4.3 update over here.
