Intel Adds New Desktop and Mobile CPUs to Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge Series
Intel has just refreshed its Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge lineups with both desktop and mobile processors. The company also reduced prices for some of its low-end processors.
The company has introduced a new Ivy Bridge CPU that has no onboard GPU, the Intel Core i5-3350P. It is rated at 3.10GHz and is priced at US$117. The other two Intel Core i5 CPUs that are not listed on the Intel website are:-
They are both rated at 2.70GHz and priced at US$194 and US$177 respectively. The other desktop Ivy Bridge Core i3 CPUs are:-
These models are clocked at 3.4GHz and 3.30GHz (the last two CPUs share the same clock speed of 3.30GHz) respectively, with corresponding price tags of US$138, US$134 and $117. The company also refreshed its Sandy Bridge lineup with two Core i3 processors; the i3-3240T and i3-3220T.
On the mobile front, Intel has introduced a new 22nm, quad-core Extreme Edition processor called the Intel i7-3940XM that costs US$1,096 and is clocked at 3.00GHz. The other two new Ivy Bridge Core i7 mobile CPUs are:-
They are rated at 2.8GHz and 2.7GHz and are priced at US$568 and S$378 respectively. Besides introducing new additions, the company also reduced prices on some chips, like the Sandy Bridge Intel Core i3-2130 desktop processor with its new price of US$117, after a 15% discount off its usual US$138 price tag, as well as some Sandy Bridge Intel Pentium desktop CPUs.
