Instagram Disables Photo Integration Service with Twitter

Facebook confirmed it has disabled Instagram's service integration with Twitter Cards, according to AllThingsD. In other words, Instagram photos will no longer appear in tweets or users' photo galleries for here on. This move has been affirmed by Twitter themselves.

Although users may continue to post links of Instagram photos on Twitter, they will no longer be able to view these photos via the Twitter stream. This applies to both Twitter's online site and mobile applications. Twitter Cards, in a nutshell, enables publishers and third-party applications to display videos and photos within tweets instead of sharing links alone.

AllThingsD also reported that Twitter has plans to release its own set of photo filters before the holidays following Facebook's snub.
