With the three major Android flagship smartphones announced and available soon, Apple's next generation iPhone is now in the crosshairs of leakers.

Three images of an alleged Apple iPhone 6 prototype have been posted on Weibo, which are said to originate from an employee in Foxconn. The prototype device is said to be undergoing tests at the production facility.

Based on the images, the next generation iPhone appears to have a thinner design with rounded edges and a protruding camera like the current iPod Touch. As the images show the rear of the device, it is difficult to estimate its display size.

Bloomberg reported in November 2013 that Apple is working on two iPhone models - a 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch model - for release in the second half of 2014. Earlier last month, the first images surfaced on Twitter depicting a thinner design with ultra thin bezel. It is rumored to come with a 2.6GHz A8 processor, an "Ultra-Retina" display and a 10-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture

While we advise readers to take these reports with a pinch of salt, it is noteworthy to mention that Apple CEO Tim Cook said he would not rule out the possibility of introducing a bigger iPhone
