Ikea is all set to roll out furniture with built-in home entertainment systems towards the end of this year.

The range includes three designs, all of which incorporate an LED TV, 2.1 sound system with wireless subwoofers, Wi-Fi for smart TV features, and DVD / Blu-Ray players. The company is planning to launch in Sweden, France, Italy, Poland, Spain, Denmark, Norway, and Portugal in the fall, with a worldwide rollout in spring 2013. The furniture is intended to hide away cables, and will come in a number of different color options.

Designed to simplify home entertainment, the range named "Uppleya", which means experience, has a remote built by TCL, to command the whole system.

So far, we understand that the LED panels are Full HD which have a refresh rate of 400Hz and come in four sizes, four HDMI ports, and two USB ports. The systems will support DivX HD files, and will include extra space for placing gadgets. Also, the base model is said to be backed by a 5-year guarantee and priced at SEK$6,500 (about US$995).
