Identify Noisy Tabs with Chrome Beta

Identify Noisy Tabs with Chrome Beta

Not everyone in the world practises proper website design. One of the most annoying website features would have to be autoplay audio. If you have just opened up a host of new tabs it can be hard to locate which tab the sound is coming from and deal with the perpetrator.

Google has decided to help you with this predicament. The Google Chrome Beta browser will now display a small speaker icon on the right hand side of the tab if it is playing audio. With a simple glance you can check which tab is currently emitting sound. Similar icons have also been introduced to signify whether a tab is currently using your webcam or "casting" to your TV.

Chrome Beta will also automatically block malware files when you visit malicious websites or try to download malicious files. To test out these new features you can download Chrome Beta here.
