Following last year's TalkBand B1, Huawei today announced its successor - the TalkBand B2 - which comes with a more premium design made from aluminium alloy. Similar to its predecessor, the B2 consists of a detachable Bluetooth headset and a wristband.

The Bluetooth headset has a smaller 0.73-inch PMOLED touch screen and can dock easily into the wristband via a docking button. It promises crystal clear audio through the utilization of dual microphones noise suppression and a high performance speaker.

Huawei offers straps of two different materials - TPU and leather. The TPU material strap is stated to be anti-allergy, silk soft and durable for sports while the more luxurious strap comes with genuine leather choices for both ladies and men..

It boasts a 6-axis motion sensor, accelerating sensor and gyroscope for more accurate activity tracking. In addition, Huawei claims the B2 is smart enough to "self-learn" motion patterns from your daily activities and recognizes the activity type (running, walking, hiking, cycling) you are engaged in.

More importantly, Huawei states that the B2 has a long-lasting battery which provide up to 5 days of working time, 6 hours of talk time or 12 days of standby. Huawei's second wearable is the TalkBand N1, which looks like the Samsung Gear Circle. The N1 is an earphone that doubles as a necklace. Huawei touts it as a device that provides "music, tracking and free living".

It has 4GB internal storage space, which offers up to 7 hours of play time or 1,000 songs. Audio quality is 'claimed' to be top-notch thanks to the professional speaker design. The N1 is equipped with basic tracking function and voice notification to inform you of the steps taken and the calories burned.

The Huawei TalkBand N1 is rated IP54 water and dust resistant, making it the perfect companion for sports. <br> Image source: Huawei

Huawei is the latest vendor to jump on the Android Wear bandwagon with its Watch device. The Chinese company touts its Watch as something unlike other smartwatches. The Huawei Watch sports a full circle 42mm diameter design which allows you to see more when calling, messaging, checking emails, Facebook or the calendar.

The Huawei Watch is positioned as "a classical timepiece" that is made with true watch elements consisting of the crown, frame and lugs. The Chinese company claims that it takes over 130 components, 160 steps done by hand, 260 manufacturing steps and 650 hours of quality testing to manufacture the Watch.

As with any classic watches, the Huawei Watch is encased in a stainless steel body which is corrosion and scratch-resistant. It has a 1.4-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels, and its display is protected with sapphire crystal glass. This makes the Huawei Watch the world's first Android Wear device to use sapphire crystal for a durable display.

Like most smartwatches, the Huawei Watch boasts a 6-axis motion sensor, barometric sensor and a built-in heart rate sensor. There is also a Huawei health ecosystem built around the Watch, which consists of a smartphone app, a Health platform supported by Google Fit and Jawbone.

At launch, you have over 40 customizable watch faces to choose from on the Huawei Watch and multiple strap selections from stainless steel to leather.
