Huawei today unveiled the new Honor 7 smartphone, an affordable yet feature-packed handset that can rival other Android flagship smartphones.

The Honor 7 smartphone has three variants; the first variant has 16GB internal storage space with 4G LTE connectivity while the second variant supports dual-SIM dual-standby LTE. The third variant, which is also the flagship model, comes with 64GB internal storage space.

Aside from the connectivity and storage options, all three models have the same specs. For example, they are clad in aluminum alloy and sport 5.2-inch 1080p displays. Running under the hood are the 64-bit Kirin 935 processor, 3GB RAM, Android 5.0 Lollipop and Huawei's customized interface EMUI version 3.1.

One of its key highlights is the 20-megapixel rear camera which comes with phase detection autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, 6-lens module and sapphire glass. It also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens. Other specs include a microSD memory card slot, a 8.5mm thin chassis which weighs 157g, and a 3,100mAh battery that supports quick charging.

The Honor 7 is reportedly priced at US$322 (~S$433) for the first variant (16GB), US$355 (~S$478) for the second variant (dual-SIM, dual-standby LTE), and US$400 (~S$539) for the flagship model.
