Huawei to Reveal Mediapad at CommunicAsia 2011

Huawei will be making its usual appearance at CommunicAsia, and in line with the tablet theme for 2011, they will be showcasing another tablet from their lineup. Dubbed as the Huawei Mediapad, the company is positioning this new tablet as their "smartest, smallest and lightest tablet ever". We are more than glad if it's really their lightest and smartest tablet, but we are slightly apprehensive over the "smallest" claim, hoping the Mediapad won't adopt a modest screen size of 7-inch or below.

Phandroid - Without providing much more detail than calling it their “smartest, smallest and lightest tablet ever,” Huawei has announced they will be unveiling a new tablet on June 20th as part of CommunicAsia 2011 in Singapore. The tablet, to be called the MediaPad, will be showcased on site and as part of a live global webcast that will detail Huawei’s current business plans, open the floor to questions, and demonstrate the new slate and other products.

At this point in time, no other details about the Mediapad have been announced, but it's highly likely that we'll be seeing Google Android 3.0 on this tablet. As for its processor, given the current trend, we do hope to see a dual-core processor powering the Mediapad.
