Huawei to make the next Nexus phone for 2015?
Another rumor of a Huawei Nexus phone for 2015 surfaces
HTC, Samsung, LG and Motorola had their chance at making Nexus phones for Google previously. This year, Google might be giving the opportunity to a new vendor - Huawei.
According to The Information, Google has given the task to Huawei to manufacture the Nexus phone for 2015. The relationship between the two companies has grown stronger and it may extend beyond the Nexus program.
Huawei is reportedly in talks with Google to establish a mobile app store in China where the Play Store is almost non-existent due to government regulations. Google is also said to be helping Huawei to market future products such as the Huawei Watch.
This isn't the first time we are hearing rumors of a Huawei Nexus smartphone; Chinese IT analyst Pan Jiutang reported in early May that the Huawei Nexus phone will sport a 5.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, and be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Android Police released another report in late May that there will be two Nexus phones this year, one of which will be built by Huawei.
