Taking a page out of Oppo's book, Huawei today reveals the Honor 7i with a rear camera that can rotate 180 degrees. The midrange smartphone is also the first to sport a fingerprint sensor on the side.

The standout feature is the 13-megapixel camera sensor with 28mm lens and f/2.0 aperture which can be rotated at several angles to take creative shots. This also means that there is no need for a front-facing camera as the rear camera can be rotated to the front to take a selfie!

The other highlight of the Honor 7i is its fingerprint sensor. According to Huawei, the Honor 7i uses the industry's smallest fingerprint sensor and its second generation fingerprint recognition technology is able to unlock the phone faster. In addition, it is able to read your fingerprint even when it is moist.

Huawei also spent a great deal of efforts on the design; the Honor 7i has a full-metal frame with ultra-slim bezels which contribute to a screen-to-body ratio of 79.8%! Other specs include a 5.2-inch Full-HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 4G dual-SIM support, 16GB internal storage space with microSD expansion, and a 3,100mAh battery.

The Honor 7i is available for pre-order on Vmall.com, JD.com and Baidu.VIP. It will be available for purchase on 1st September with prices starting from 1699 yuan (~S$373).
