Huawei and Motorola schedule launch events for MWC 2017
With Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 over, the attention now has turned to phone makers at next month's MWC 2017.
Huawei and Motorola have announced that they will be holding their respective events on Sunday, 26 February which is a day before MWC 2017 kicks off. For Huawei, its press invite states that the company will "share Huawei's latest innovations and exciting advances". The Chinese phone maker is likely to reveal the P10 and P10 Plus which are rumored to come with curved displays.
For Motorola, it is expected to announce the Moto G5 Plus which comes with a 5.5-inch Full-HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset, a rear 13-megapixel camera, a front-facing 5-megapixel camera, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage space, Android 7.0 Nougat, a fingerprint sensor and a 3,080mAh battery.
LG and Nokia are also expected to launch new phones at MWC 2017. The LG G6 with its 5.7-inch "Quad-HD+" display will likely to ditch the modular design of its predecessor. Nokia's CEO and President Rajeev Suri will be delivering a keynote with some new products.
