HTC's next flagship phone to be announced in April?
HTC's U Ultra smartphone is the current flagship model, but the Taiwanese phone maker is said to be releasing another flagship phone next month.
According to VentureBeat, its anonymous source claims that HTC will be introducing a third model in the U lineup, the HTC U. Known by its code name Ocean, the handset is rumored to come with a 5.5-inch WQHD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, HTC Sense 9, a 12-megapixel IMX362 rear camera, a 16-megapixel IMX351 front-facing camera and 64/128GB internal storage space with microSD support. The key feature of the HTC U is Edge Sense, where sensors embedded along the frame of the display allow the user to control customizable actions.
The source states that the HTC U will be announced in mid or late April with global retail availability in May. You can also expect at least three to four more new handsets from HTC this year.
