HTC is one of the first (if not the first) Android vendors to confirm the roll-out schedule update of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for its devices.

According to Jason Mackenzie, the President of HTC America, Android 6.0 Marshmallow is slated to be available for some smartphones before the end of the year. The flagship smartphones, the One M8 and M9, should be getting the update in the "beginning end of 2015" while no estimated time frame is given for the One M9+, One E9+, One E9, One ME, One E8, One M8 EYE, Butterfly 3, Desire 826, Desire 820 and Desire 816.

Do note that the announcement seems to apply for telcos in the U.S only. This means that the roll-out in other regions may not be completed before the end of 2015. HTC also states that additional devices will be confirmed at a later date.
