HTC One E9+ with 5.5-inch Quad-HD display appears on its China website
HTC's first smartphone with a Quad-HD display has arrived and it is the One E9+.
Published on its China website, the HTC One E9+ is stated to come with a 5.5-inch Quad-HD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) display on its Features page while the specs sheet lists Full-HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) resolution. It's believed that the specs sheet is actually referring to the One E9.
Other specs include dimensions of 156.5 x 76.5 x 7.49mm, weight of 150g, a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6795M processor, dual nano-SIM support, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage space, microSD expansion up to 128GB, a 2,800mAh battery, a 20-megapixel rear camera (likely to have a 13-megapixel module for the One E9) and an UltraPixel front-facing camera.
What's missing from the website are the retail price and availability date. HTC is holding an event in China on April 9 where it is expected to announce more than one device. Among them are the One E9 and the 5.2-inch One M9+ with a fingerprint sensor.
