HTC One Available in Limited Stocks at HTC Store

The HTC One is available in two colors: silver and black.

HTC may have called off the launch of the One by the telcos at IT Show 2013, but it seems that it is bringing in limited quantities to its Concept Store at NEX every week.

We were alerted to this information by forum member pleew1980, who made a post in the HTC One thread that they are currently taking pre-orders for the 32GB model. Customers have to make a cash deposit of S$200 for the device, which pleew1980 claims to cost S$949 without line contract.

We followed up with a call to HTC NEX a few moments ago and confirmed that the shop would be bringing in limited quantities of the One every week till the end of March. We also were told that both silver and black models are coming in. Contrary to what pleew1980 posted, the 32GB model is retailing without line contract for S$968.

As a point of reference, the 16GB Sony Xperia Z is priced at $988 without line contract. The Xperia Z comes with a slightly bigger display at 5-inch, and has a microSD card slot that supports cards with capacity up to 32GB. As a quick recap, here's an overview of the specs of the HTC One:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core 1.7GHz processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 display
  • 4MP rear autofocus camera with UltraPixels
  • 32/64GB internal storage
  • 2300mAh battery
  • 137.4 x 68.2 x 4 - 9.3mm
  • 143g
