HTC Mondrian with 1.3GHz Processor Spotted on Leaked Windows Phone 7 ROM

Only a few months more before Microsoft releases its Windows Phone 7 mobile OS. Not surprisingly, leaked ROMs of the early build have been leaked. Over the weekend, the folks at XDA -Developers have dug through the said ROM and spotted the HTC Mondrian. Cross referencing back to its other discoveries, this could be the Taiwanese company's first Windows Phone 7, packed with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 1.3GHz processer and a 4.3-inch WVGA screen made by Optrex.

Engadget - As expected, the official-looking Windows Phone 7 OS ROM leaked over the weekend is already yielding results. Pictured above is an image extracted from the "oemavatar.cab." Now that could be a generic Windows Phone 7 image or it could be the HTC Mondrian already seen referenced by the 100MB file.

As with all rumors and leaks, all this is still not absolute, and there could be some changes along the way. We'll know for sure in the next six months, so in the meantime, check out the story over here.
