HTC might unveil two new U11 smartphone models on 2 Nov

Although Google acquired HTC's smartphone division last month, the Taiwanese phone maker emphasized that its "best in-class engineering talent" is still working on the next flagship smartphone. This could be the new flagship product(s) teased by HTC in its media invites for an event on 2 November. The media invite has the letter "U" in the middle which hints that the new device(s) could be from the flagship series. Recent rumors have suggested two U-series models, the U11 Life and U11 Plus.

The U11 Life is said to be HTC's first Android One smartphone, and its rumored specs include a 5.2-inch Full-HD display, Snapdragon 630, IP67 rating, Edge Sense feature, 16MP cameras on the front and back, and a 2,600mAh battery. It could come in two options: one with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage space, and one with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage space.

The U11 Plus is likely to be an upsized variant of the current U11; it will come with Snapdragon 835, 4GB or 6GB RAM, a 12MP rear camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, IP68 rating, a 5.99-inch display with aspect ratio of 18:9 and a fingerprint sensor.
