HTC launches dual-SIM 5.5-inch QHD display HTC One E9+

HTC launched its latest smartphone today, the HTC One E9+. The 5.5-inch dual-SIM phablet sports a 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution display and is powered by MediaTek's Helio X10 octa-core processor and 3GB RAM. The phone also comes with a 20-megapixel rear camera, which is capable of recording in 4K resolution and a wide-angle HTC UltraPixel front-facing camera. Storage-wise, the phone has 32GB internal storage, and expandable memory up to a whopping 2TB via a MicroSDXC slot.

Like HTC's flagship HTC One M9, the E9+ also boasts front-facing HTC BoomSound stereo speakers and Dolby Audio Surround support.

"Our newest HTC One E series builds on the momentum of the flagship phones with sophistication and style,” said Mr. Faisal Siddiqui, President of HTC South Asia. “The HTC One E9+ dual sim continues to build on HTC’s innovation and design, with a 2K 13.97 cm (5.5-inch) large display, 20 megapixel camera, and a MediaTek Helio X10 processor and 8*2GHz octa-core chipset. Our popular UltraPixel is now on the front facing camera with tons of features, HTC BoomSound with Dolby Audio Surround and more – all this in a slim form factor. We are certain that this offering will delight many of our consumers."

It's worth noting that the One E9+ is quite similar to the 5.2-inch HTC One M9+, which was launched in China earlier this year. As far as we can tell, the only difference is the E9+'s slightly larger display and plastic rear.

The HTC One E9+ dual SIM will be available in Gold Sepia and Rose Gold in Singapore on 29th August 2015 at M1, Singtel, StarHub, and all major retailers at a recommended retail price of S$698.
