HTC Devices to Get Free Google Drive Storage for Two Years

HTC Devices to Get Free Google Drive Storage for Two Years

HTC has entered into a new partnership with Google to offer free Drive storage for some of its devices. The offer must be redeemed before 1st January, 2016.

According to Google Drive Help, the HTC One Max is eligible for an extra 50GB Google Drive storage for two years. Certain 2013 HTC models such as the HTC One need to be upgraded to Sense 5+ before they can get 25GB Drive storage.

Users need to launch the preloaded Google Drive app on their HTC devices and tap on "Redeem". They need to follow the on-screen steps to complete redemption. Do take note of the following points:

  • The free storage is not transferable and will only work on the Google account you are using to redeem the offer.
  • You are only entitled to redeem one offer per device. (e.g. 50GB on HTC One Max and 25GB on two eligible devices using the same Google account)
  • The offer is only available to original owner of the HTC device. If you buy a refurbished or used set, you are not entitled to this offer.
  • Users who unlock the bootloader on their devices are not eligible to receive this offer.
