HTC Desire 510 listed on IDA's website, first HTC phone with a 64-bit processor?
Besides the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A, we also spotted another new device on IDA's Equipment Search List.
The new device is the Desire 510 which has not been officially announced by HTC at press time. It is believed that the Desire 510 is the HTC A11 that @upleaks mentioned in a tweet three days ago.
What's unique about this Desire model is the possibility that it could be the first HTC phone to be powered by a 64-bit processor. @upleaks reported that the HTC A11 will run on Qualcomm's first 64-bit processor, the Snapdragon 410.
If you recall, Qualcomm revealed during the announcement that the Snapdragon 410 processor would be in consumer devices in the second half of 2014. It also stated that the Snapdragon 410 processor is able to lower the prices of 4G smartphones to sub-$150 price points. This aligns with HTC's strategy of using the Desire family to tackle the entry-level and midrange market segments.
Other alleged specs include a 4.7-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display, Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Sense 6 and a 5-megapixel rear camera. For now, we could only speculate until HTC makes an official announcement on the Desire 510.
