HTC announces the 4.7-inch Desire 510, available in Singapore from September 6 (Updated)

Updated on September 1, 5PM: The HTC Desire 510 will be available in Singapore from September 6 at a retail price of S$268 without line contract and inclusive of GST. Consumers can purchase the handset from mobile operators and major retailers. It comes in two colors: terra white and meridian grey.

HTC today announces the newest member of the Desire family, the Desire 510 which is its most affordable LTE smartphone to date.

As mentioned in a previous news article, the Desire 510 is HTC's first phone to run on a 64-bit processor - the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core 1.2GHz processor. The Desire 510 is powered by 1GB RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat.

It comes with a 4.7-inch (854 x 480 pixels) display, an internal storage of 8GB, microSD expansion up to 128GB, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front-facing camera and a removable 2,100mAh battery.

Similar to the One (M8), (E8) and Butterfly 2, the Desire 510 has its own Dot View case where you can answer calls, view the call log and check the time with the case closed. You also can customize the wallpaper with 18 different themes or a photo from your Gallery.

HTC states that the Desire 510 will be available with telcos and major retailers in the U.S, Europe and Asia. Pricing and exact launch dates in the different markets are not known at press time.
