The HTC 10 may not be available for purchase until later this month, but the folks over at DxOMark managed to get a review unit and put its rear camera to the test. True to the company's claims of "world class" cameras on the front and back, DxOMark rates the HTC 10 as the best camera phone alongside the Galaxy S7 edge at the moment.

Describing the handset as "a great all-rounder for stills and video", DxOMark states the HTC 10 delivers very good details in all conditions with good exposure. Autofocus is fast and accurate and there is good noise reduction in low light conditions. For videography, the HTC 10 is assessed to have good stabilization, exposure and color rendering in all conditions.

However, there are some weakness in its imaging capabilities such as visible loss of sharpness in the corners, visible luminance noise in low light conditions and blown-out highlights in some outdoor photos. Nonetheless, it's good to see HTC getting back in the game and we can't wait to pit the HTC 10 against another recently announced flagship, the Huawei P9/P9 Plus.
