HP today revealed a redesigned consumer notebook PC portfolio that enhances the user experience with new sleek designs and the latest technologies.
With updates across the HP Pavilion notebook PC line, the new notebooks are built on inspirations from culture, art, fashion and HP’s MUSE (Materials, Usability, Sensory appeal and Experience) design philosophy.
MUSE includes a mix of materials such as metals, alloys and plastics; easy-to-use features for improved usability; a blend of artisanal elements for sensory appeal; and intuitive features for streamlined experiences.
The new HP Pavilion dv Series notebook PCs include impressive features such as HP CoolSense Technology, HP TrueVision HD webcam(1) and HP SimplePass. Select models of the HP Pavilion dv series, such as the HP Pavilion dv6 and dv7 with metal chassis, also feature BeatsTM Audio for a powerful audio experience.
The new HP Pavilion dv Series notebook PC line – HP Pavilion dv4, dv6 and dv7 – offers performance, entertainment and security features that work together to fit seamlessly into the lives of users.
The notebooks also incorporate HP CoolSense Technology, HP TrueVision HD Webcam and SuperSpeed USB 3.0 to create the best possible personal computing experience.
HP CoolSense Technology, which is available on the HP Pavilion dv series, combines advanced hardware and intelligent cooling software for a notebook that feels noticeably cooler. The technology automatically adjusts cooling levels according to a user's personal preferences.
The HP Pavilion dv4 features a 14.0-inch diagonal HD BrightView display and has an optional integrated Blu-Ray player. Designed to maximize any user’s multimedia experience, it also expresses full PC functionality and performance with second-generation Intel Core processors and powerful AMD Radeon graphics.
With a stylish exterior in an Espresso Black lattice imprint to match its powerful interior, the notebook measures from 1.11-inch thin and weighs from 2.2-kilos. An integrated six-cell battery provides up to 6 hours of battery life.
The HP Pavilion dv6 and dv7 with metal chassis come equipped with Beats Audio and quad speakers to deliver crisp, clear and full sound. Beats Audio, created by Beats by Dr. Dre co-founders Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, restores the emotion that is missing from digital music. Working in collaboration with HP, Iovine and Dr. Dre tuned and applied the signature Beats sound profile across HP’s premium notebook and desktop lines to provide the optimal sound experience – the way the artiste intended it – when playing music or audio through headphones, external speakers or the newly optimized onboard quad speakers. The Pavilion dv7 also includes HP Triple Bass Reflex Subwoofer for additional depth and power.
The Pavilion dv6 and dv7 feature 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch diagonal HD BrightView displays respectively. They are available with an optional integrated Blu-ray player, a built-in HP TrueVision HD webcam that offers crisp, clear video chatting capability even in low-light conditions and also feature an integrated numeric keypad with an illuminated touchpad.
Available with second-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processors and optional AMD Radeon 6000M graphics, the Pavilion dv6 and dv7 provide superb personal computing performance. The notebooks also feature SuperSpeed USB 3.0 for faster sharing and transferring of files and offer ample multimedia storage with up to 1 terabyte (TB) of storage for the Pavilion dv6 and up to 2TB for the Pavilion dv7. The HP Pavilion dv6 is available in either metal chassis or lattice imprint in Espresso Black and the dv7 comes in a dark umber metal finish.
To protect personal information and simplify password management, the Pavilion dv6 and dv7 also include HP SimplePass, providing secure access to online accounts and passwords with the swipe of a finger. Designed with security and protection in mind, all HP Pavilion dv series notebook PCs feature HP ProtectSmart, which locks the hard drive to secure photos, music and memories, and protects against accidental drops.
Striking a balance between design, performance and affordability, the new HP Pavilion g-series notebook PCs are ideal for the everyday user with reliable performance, attractive designs and essential features at a great value.
Available in a variety of colors such as charcoal grey and sonoma red to fit any style or personality, the Pavilion g-series notebooks – the Pavilion g4 and g6 – offer full connectivity for surfing the Internet and connecting with friends. The notebooks also include a HD BrightView display, with Altec Lansing speakers and SRS Premium Audio for enjoying movies and music.
