HP throws Wi-Fi Direct and NFC into the mix for its newest Envy printers

 The HP Envy 7640

HP has just announced three new Envy printers for the home user, the Envy 7640, 5640 and 5530. The HP Envy 7640 and 5640 all-in-one printers both come with the new Wi-Fi Direct feature, which allows users to maintain a simultaneous connection with the printer and the Internet. The flagship model, the Envy 7640 also comes with built-in NFC so you can just tap your phone or tablet onto the printer if you want to print something. The Envy 760 also features a 25-page automatic document feeder (ADF), automatic two-sided printing and an automatic photo tray which supports 4R (10x15cm) and 5R (13x18cm) formats. It will be available in November and will be going for S$299.

All printers feature free content in the form of coloring pages, greeting cards and more.

The Envy 5640 and 5530 will both feature 2.6-inch color touchscreen panels and support for wireless direct printing, so you can print from your smartphone, tablet or PC with minimal setup. Both printers will be available in November, with the Envy 5640 going for S$199  and the Envy 5530 going for S$159.

All printers also come with HP print apps, which provide free content such as coloring pages, greeting cards and even SAP worksheets. Parents will be happy to know that the content includes various famous cartoon characters such as Tintin and even characters from Dreamworks movies such as Shrek.
