HP today kicked off 'A New HP World', an exclusive event for the Asia Pacific market where HP's Personal Systems Group (PSG) revealed its vision, strategy and latest products to help it win in the personal and professional computing space.
At 'A New HP World', HP showcased its vision of a connected life through its broad range of hardware and software solutions as well as the HP webOS operating system to drive innovation, bring to life experiences and build a computing ecosystem. This enables HP to deliver seamless connectivity and rich content & applications to dramatically enhance customers' experiences, and ultimately enable HP to differentiate and win with innovation that matters.
HP PSG's vision is to transform how people think, feel and connect. From business customers who need to improve productivity and decision-making, to consumers who want a richer audio and visual experience, 'A New HP World' illustrates how users can connect to the people, information and entertainment that is important to them. This vision positions HP to deliver experiences that can change how people all over the world lead their lives at home, at work, and on the go.
Innovation is at the heart of HP. HP's groundbreaking lineup of hardware and software solutions helps meet the needs of all types of users - be it productivity, entertainment or simply staying connected.
New consumer products showcased at 'A New HP World' included the HP Pavilion consumer notebook PC line and the TouchSmart 610 Consumer PC, while commercial products included the HP ProBook series for business users, the HP Compaq 8200 Elite business PC, the HP Z200 Workstations, HP 5570 Thin Client, displays and accessories.
'A New HP World' marks the official launch of PSG's “Everybody On” brand campaign in Asia Pacific, shortly after the US launch. The new campaign is the next chapter of HP's marketing vision. The launch – spanning music, fashion, community activism, business and more – is supported by an integrated marketing campaign featuring print, broadcast, online and social media, and builds on the highly acclaimed “The Computer is Personal Again” campaign.
The new campaign celebrates how people around the world are using HP technology to connect to their world and achieve their personal and professional passions, and features passionate individuals such as 12-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys and singer, song-writer and composer JJ Lin. Both share a passion for music and recognize the importance of technology in enabling their audiences to hear their songs exactly as they recorded them.
In addition, HP customer Infinite Frameworks illustrated how the HP Z200 Workstations was used to hand-draw anime portions of a tribute film to Tatsumi, the Japanese father of the gekiga style of alternative comics, more popularly known as 'anime'.
For the first time in Asia Pacific, HP introduced the HP webOS operating system and showcased the connectivity, multi-tasking and productivity capabilities of the operating system through the recently announced HP webOS slate and smartphones – the HP TouchPad, HP Pre3 and the HP Veer.
HP has the digital heritage, global reach and computing ecosystem to deliver a highly personal, always-on mobile and desktop computing experience for consumers and business users. HP's goal is to deliver the best mobile experience available today – on individual devices and across devices, leveraging HP's product portfolio.
HP has achieved Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA) Excellence in Service Operations certification for personal computing and printing products in Asia Pacific and Japan in November 2010. HP is the first personal computer and printer company to achieve this certification in Asia Pacific and Japan in 2010 for both consumer and commercial technical support.
HP continues to invest in quality products and processes and reaffirms its commitment to service support. As part of HP's continued efforts to enhance its service support offerings, HP will revamp its customer service centers in APJ in 2011, starting with four new service centres in China. Three of these centers will open this quarter. The new service centres, known as 'HP Total Care Center', will provide an integrated customer experience as customers will be offered the chance to experience new HP products while waiting to see a representative.
Repair turnaround time has been reduced in all service centers, enabled by process improvement as well as parts investment. In addition, customers now have the option of weekend service availability in 30 service centers across urban locations in China.
