With a price comparable to SATA SSDs, the new PCIe-based SSDs will clock in a read time of 1Gbps, and reduce boot up, calculation, and graphic response times, even with 4K videos. It also changes the way HP Z Workstations handle large files.
The HP Z Turbo Drive is expected to be available starting May 2014, for US$499 (256GB) and US$899 (512GB) respectively.
