HP has added new Windows 8 desktops for both consumers and business-minded users. This is in additional to their earlier announced Windows 8 All-in-One (AIO) desktops systems. The company has re-designed its gaming desktop, the S$1,699 HP Envy Phoenix h9, to sport an armor-plated design with LED illumination. Its interior features improved cable management as well as tool-less drive bays that can accommodate up to three HDDs or ExpressCache SSDs. Buyers can opt for either an AMD or NVIDIA graphics configuration to complete the package. This package also includes a HP W2371d 23-inch LED backlit monitor.
For consumers who want to enjoy Windows 8 computing on the go, HP has introduced its HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15 notebooks. The 14-inch Pavilion Sleekbook 14 will be powered by either AMD or Intel processors while the larger 15-inch Pavilion Sleekbook 15 will feature only Intel CPUs. The 14-inch notebook has a SRP of S$999 and the larger Pavilion Sleekbook 15 has a suggested retail price of S$1,049. The HP Envy Phoenix h9 and these notebooks will be available on 26th October, to coincide with the General Availability of Windows 8.
For business-minded users, HP has presented them with the HP Compaq Pro 6305 desktop PC that is powered by AMD latest Trinity APUs for desktops. This system is priced at S$999 and will be available in October next month.
