HP announces new Envy Beats AIO and Pavilion x2 detachable PC

HP has just announced two new products today - the Envy Beats AIO and the Pavilion x2 detachable PC.

The HP Envy Beats AIO

The Envy Beats AIO system features a 23-inch Full HD IPS display with 10-point multitouch and was designed with audio performance in mind, as such it comes equipped with no less than four speakers and subwoofers - which is a lot for an AIO system.

That aside, the system will be powered by a fourth generation Intel Core processor, specifically the quad-core Core i5-4460T with the Intel HD Graphics 4600 integrated GPU. It will come with 8GB of RAM and a 1TB hybrid HDD.

The Pavilion x2 is a hybrid detachable PC that doubles up as a tablet and notebook. It has a 10.1-inch WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels resolution) touchscreen display and is powered by the 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z3745D processor. It also comes with 2GB of RAM and a 64GB SSD. It is also remarkably light. Even with the keyboard attached, the Pavilion x2 will still weigh under a kilogram.

Even though it shares the same form factor as the Surface Pro 3 from Microsoft, don't expect the Pavilion x2 to perform similarly since it is only powered by an Intel Atom processor.

Both the Envy Beats AIO and Pavilion x2 will be available locally in October. The Envy Beats AIO will have a starting price of S$1599, whereas prices of the Pavilion x2 will begin at just S$499.
