Harman Kardon Also Says Its Sabre SB 35 Sound Bar is the Slimmest

Harman Kardon has unveiled a couple of new sound bars at IFA 2013, and they come in the forms of the Sabre SB 35 and SB 26. With a 1.25-inch depth, the company says the SB 35 is the slimmest 8.1-channel sound bar out there right now. (Sony claims its HT-ST3 is the slimmest, but that's a 4.1-channel system.)

The new sound bars feature multiple HDMI ports, Bluetooth for wireless streaming, and a new Harman Kardon Remote App for iOS and Android. More specifically, the SB 35 has a 100W wireless subwoofer, eight independent channels with 1.75-inch drivers and 1-inch tweeters, three HDMI inputs, one HDMI output with Audio Return Channel (ARC) and CEC, one analog input, one optical digital input, and uses Harman Kardon's Triple DSP sound processing tech.

On the other hand, the cheaper SB 26 sports dual-driver, two-way speaker modules, each with two 3-inch midrange drivers and a 1-inch dome tweeter. It has two HDMI inputs, one HDMI output with ARC, one analog input, one optical digital input, and as mentioned, Bluetooth wireless connectivity. It doesn't have the Harman Wave surround mode technology that the higher-end SB 35 has though.

The Harman Kardon Sabre SB 35 and SB 26 soundbars are priced at US$999 and US$599 respectively.
