HardwareZone Launches Free Forums iPhone Application

Singapore, July 16, 2010 – The official HardwareZone (HWZ) Forums iPhone application has debuted on the App store.

A collaborative effort between SPH Magazines Pte Ltd and homegrown app developer, Omnitoons, the app allows one to easily access Singapore’s most popular forum and stay connected with the latest happenings.

Logged in users can view and post new threads, quote and reply to posts, and even bookmark useful threads. Guests can browse the forums and register an account using the app.

Having already developed location-based apps, flipbooks and games, HWZ Forums is Omnitoons’ first forum application.

“Omnitoons is honoured to have Asia’s top forum—HWZ, as our first forum app partner. With sufficient downloads and usage, we hope to bring this app to more mobile platforms,” said Karen New, Head Honcho of Omnitoons. “We hope that more forums will follow suit and embrace this mobile platform.”

Both HWZ and Omnitoons hope that fans of the forum will enjoy experiencing HWZ Forums in the palm of their hands. Enhancements are already being planned for future versions.

“The modern consumer wants information on-the-go, and this is what the HWZ Forums iPhone app offers. It enables interaction with thousands of forum users on a wide range of topics anytime, anywhere. We’re very pleased to be able to provide that,” said Vijay Anand, Editor of HardwareZone.

The HWZ Forums app is available for free at: http://itunes.apple.com/sg/app/hardwarezone-forums/id367968868?mt=8
