GoPro will streamline its camera portfolio in April
Anticipating a rough year ahead and having reported a disastrous financial quarter, GoPro has decided to streamline its camera portfolio.
From April, GoPro will only be selling the Hero 4 Black, Hero 4 Silver and Hero 4 Session. The entry-level models such as the Hero+ LCD and Hero+ will be discontinued. GoPro CEO Nick Woodman also confirms that the Hero 5 and Karma drone will debut later this year.
GoPro reported US$436.6 million in revenue for Q4 2015, which is a staggering drop of 31% from a year before. It also laid off 7% of its workforce.
