Google's Eric Schmidt Says They are Winning the War Against Apple
In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Google's Executive Chairman and ex-CEO Eric Schmidt was feeling confident about Android's position the in the market right now.
Schmidt also likened the current state of the mobile industry to that of Microsoft and Apple when the two were jostling for PC supremacy. He cited that over 1.3 million new Android devices are activated each day and Android's market share has now increased to over 70% as compared to Apple's 14%.
“This is a huge platform change; this is of the scale of 20 years ago -- Microsoft versus Apple,” he said. “We’re winning that war pretty clearly now.”
In the interview, he also spoke about his views with regards to the American government, taxes, Twitter and cellular bandwidth.
