Google is working on a fix for the Pixel's camera freezing issue

If you happen to be using a Pixel or Pixel XL and face some camera issues such as the camera app freezing and unsightly purple or pink vertical lines appearing on your screen, be patient as Google is "actively working on a solution to the issue".

First posted on Google product forums on 27 October, a Pixel user reported his camera app locking up with purple and pink vertical lines on the display. Since then, many users claimed that they encountered the same issues. A Google spokesperson issued a statement to MobileSyrup:

Google - “The Pixel team is aware of the reports and actively working on a solution to the issue. We’ll update you as soon as we have more information.”

Google unveiled the Pixel smartphones in early October and garnered many positive reviews on its camera performance. DigiTimes Research estimated that Google may ship three to four million Pixel phones by the end of the year
